Sasha Ertl is a senior biologist working in environmental consulting since 2007. Her experience includes local, state, and federal permitting for in-water and shoreline projects, ESA and MMPA consultation, marine mammal and hydroacoustic monitoring, and SCUBA surveys. She has led or contributed to aquatic permitting for successful projects in Washington, working with clients ranging from private clients to Ports of Seattle, Tacoma, Everett, Bellingham, Anacortes, and Chinook, the Washington Public Ports Association (WPPA), various municipalities, and Washington State Parks. She worked as an interim biologist for the Port of Tacoma, and as a liaison between the WPPA and National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) in developing the Salish Sea Nearshore Programmatic (SSNP) Biological Opinion and corresponding Conservation Calculator, so offers a unique expertise when coordinating with NMFS and Ports on nearshore projects.
