Kaylie is an experienced planner with a background in land use planning, regulatory compliance, and permit review. She has managed dozens of complex public and private land use and development permit reviews involving environmental issues, design, and grading and building permits. Kaylie skillfully manages the review process from pre-submittal meetings through applicable reviews and final inspections. Kaylie also is experienced coordinating with local, state, and federal agencies such as the Washington State Department of Ecology and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to ensure alignment of permit requirements. Kaylie has conducted permit review for projects such as variances, short plats, cottage developments, multi-family developments, and shoreline projects. She is skilled at effectively communicating complex topics to regulators, agency staff, and community members. She has helped facilitate public meetings to solicit feedback from stakeholders regarding long-range comprehensive planning initiatives, as well as assisted in developing alternative plans and recommendations for programs and projects.
