PROJECT BIOLOGIST OR ECOLOGIST
Confluence is looking for a full-time Biologist or Ecologist who enjoys working collaboratively on a variety of natural resource and transportation projects. This individual will provide project management and key support to other project managers by planning, implementing, and managing tasks. This individual will also provide technical expertise in a variety of ecological and/or regulatory areas. Assignments will include fieldwork, report writing, permitting, and interacting with clients and regulatory agency staff.
Required qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in ecology, biology, or related field; 3-7 years of environmental consulting (agency experience may be included); demonstrated experience in environmental permitting and regulatory compliance; familiarity with project management techniques; proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Some experience in as well as interest in developing the following preferred qualifications include: Experience with NEPA/SEPA, ESA, wetlands, mitigation monitoring, construction monitoring (water quality); Puget Sound and Pacific Northwest experience; ArcGIS skills.
Job classification will depend on years of experience. Project I, Project II, and Project III positions are available. Salary range is $45,000-$95,000. Confluence has offices in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle and in Bellingham. Hybrid work environment with some in-office hours required.

SENIOR BIOLOGIST OR ECOLOGIST
Confluence is looking for a full-time Senior Biologist or Ecologist who enjoys working collaboratively on a variety of natural resource and transportation projects. This individual will need the skills and experience to be a project manager, planning, implementing, and managing projects and delivering project tasks. Expertise is desired in fisheries, marine, freshwater, and estuarine habitats. Assignments will include ecological/biological technical assessments and products, permitting, report writing, interacting with clients and regulatory agencies, and fieldwork.
Required qualifications include: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, ecology, fisheries, or related field; 8+ years of environmental consulting (agency experience may be included); demonstrated experience in ecological/biological principles, project management, environmental permitting, ESA, and regulatory compliance; proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Preferred qualifications include: Experience with NEPA/SEPA, wetlands, mitigation monitoring, construction monitoring (water quality); Puget Sound and Pacific Northwest experience; ArcGIS skills.
Salary based on years of experience. Salary range is $75,000-$130,000. Confluence has offices in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle and in Bellingham. Hybrid work environment with some in-office hours required.
